Horizons BetaPro, Canada’s leading issuer of ETFs will list 7 new funds on the the Toronto Stock Exchange.  The firm will expand its extensive offering of leveraged ETFs by adding a 2x gold bullion fund and a 2x/2x inverse pair that tracks the price of silver.

The firm will also offer 4 new unleveraged funds that follow gold, silver, crude oil, and natural gas. The company may be eager to diversify into unleveraged products following harsh criticism it has received regarding its hitherto all leveraged portfolio of funds. CEO Howard Atkinson has been defiant over the matter, telling a conference of investors “”When we’re picked on we don’t back down. We’re not going to back down from false allegations.”
