iShares, which itself is in the process of being shopped to buyers, last week aquired  Mexico’s largest ETF in a bid to expand it presence in the Latin American nation.

iShares Mexico’s Naftrac fund from the state owned Nacional Financiera for an undisclosed sum. The Naftrac  follows the benchmark Bolsa index, which is up 9% on the year.

iShares currently has a lists ETFs in 16 countries worldwide, including Latin America’s other economic giant Brazil.
